Booshle G

Booshle G. (real name Buhle Gayika) is a 26-year-old South African singer-songwriter from Uitenhage/Kariega, Eastern Cape. Starting as a hip-hop artist, he spent five years as a youth pastor and worship leader before transitioning to his current indie-folk style. He is best known for his “raw and uncurated” indie-pop and folk sound, drawing inspiration from artists like Matthew Mole and Tai Verdes. He is the first South African artist signed to the global indie label Nettwerk Music Group. His 2024 single “Take Me Home” became the official anthem for South Africa’s Premier T20 Cricket League and has surpassed 4 million streams. He released his debut album, “I Was Never Alone”, in February 2026.
